Privacy notice
Who is responsible
glossophobia.info is an informational site about glossophobia, the fear of public speaking. Write to hello@glossophobia.info with any question about your data.
What we record
The site never asks for your name, email or any contact detail. To learn how many people visit and which parts they use, it records anonymously: the page you opened, the site you came from, how far down the page you scrolled, whether you tapped a link to the Confidently app (and from which part of the page), your device's language and operating system, and a random identifier stored in your browser so you are not counted twice. Your IP address is used only to estimate country and city and is not stored in full.
What it is used for
Only to measure how the site is used and to improve it. The data is processed with Amplitude, an analytics service with servers in the European Union. We do not sell data or share it with advertisers.
Cookies and local storage
The site sets no cookies. It stores two values in your browser: the anonymous visitor identifier and a session identifier that expires after 30 minutes without activity. You can delete both in your browser settings. Ad blockers also stop the recording, and the site works the same without it.
Links to the app stores
The app buttons go through a short link on this site (/go/app) that sends you to the Confidently listing in the App Store, or in Google Play if you use Android. That link reads your browser's user agent to pick the store and passes the button's position to Google Play as a referrer; it stores nothing. From the store onwards, the privacy notices of Apple, Google and Confidently apply, not this one.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete any data tied to your visitor identifier by writing to the address above. Because we store nothing that identifies you personally, the surest way to unlink yourself is to clear this site's local storage in your browser.
